Looked a lot more agile here... Has he had a long lay off or injury?

He looked like the Joe Joyce that doesn't fear his opponent's power who carelessly walks through and stops them early. Same old, same old. Why is it that everyone loves trotting that "fights to the level of his opponents" trope when it's convenient. But when it's more than obvious that's the case with Joe, they toss it out of the window, because scoring hater points is far more meaningful for them?

That would be his biggest test to date for sure, bigger than Dubois. Fwank might not fancy it though. Wallin, Hunter, safer bets.

Hope joyce gets a nice cash out fight for him soon. He hasnt got the time on his hands for those hammers of the world anymore. I understand they wanted parker who bitched out and wanted to stay active.. But this fights do nothing for him but just add to his wear and tear. Its gotta happen for him now

You think it was nothing more than Joyce conservation of energy and skill, ie: first gear and not anything off or wrong with Joyce?

I'm not trying to score "hater points" but he seemed a little sluggish even for first gear in that first round before stepping on the gas a little in the following rounds.

He'll never be as physically good as he was against Dubois. He's passed his peak now.

He didn't even pull the choke out on his cold engine tonight and still overwhelmed in more ways than one.

I agree to an extent...but I feel like if this was 90s heavyweight era..Joyce woulda probably been stopped by now due to his face first approach...I also feel similarly about froch great recovery powers n chin but don't think supermiddle was strong at that time...aware I'll catch flack for this post because everyone bums frochs resume

No, his work rate would have been too much for most heavies in the 90`s, he`s better than Mdercer was and would have beaten Holmes and McCall in the 90`s and he certainly would have out-lasted Bruno.
