Having just watched Joyce v Hammer it raises two big question marks for me...

    1. People criticize AJ for being a "big stiff idiot", but with Joyce essentially being a statue do you think he can outbox AJ with that jab?

    2. Joyce ate way too many punches. Can he get away with the same tactic against AJs combinations?

Depends on if he can take AJ's power. Sure Joyce has been stopped as an amateur but if you watch him get pole axed against Kuzmin when he takes a monster right hand and is dropped hard on his ass. He gets up at 4 and doesn't even look hurt but it being amateur boxing it's waved off. AJ can probably put him down but can he keep him down?

I favour Joshua but Joyce isn't an easy fight for anyone with his size, relentless work rate and durability.

I don't think even Joyce can handle AJs power for too many rounds.

But if he does, than he will win after 6 rounds.

    Aj ko

Aj throws right hand....guy inside his bonce turns Joe's head hard a starboard but the big man doesn't register this movement in time and his face crashes into the iceberg that is aj's fist and Joyce suddenly remembers..where your supposed to utilize some kind of defense..... unfortunately..it's too late and he's already sank to the canvas..while Kate n Leo try to escape him

On a serious note I don't think much of aj in terms of all time heavyweight....but he should be able to do away with Joyce pretty easily

Joshua R4 KO, flattens Joyce and his legs turn into spaghetti

I think AJ would batter him. He's just too slow, basic and easy to hit. If a genuine power puncher starts teeing off on him it won't end well. If he still rides it out he'll be badly down on the score cards. Even someone as limited as Dubois had a lot of success until his eye gave out.

Against Hammer it was obvious that Joyce has some problems with his defense, maybe his attacking style is the reason that he unconsciously neglects his defense at some moments, against AJ everything would be possible, AJ should knock out Joyce in the earlier rounds, but if Joyce drags AJ into the later rounds and deep water, Joyce would win because of better stamina...

Joshua a few years ago might have. But I don't see the current Joshua stopping Joyce. Struggled to keep Ruiz down, couldn't hurt Usyk. He might scrape a points win. I think Joyce more likely catches up with him later rounds . And pummels the body builder in the corner.

Gotta favor AJ here. Joyce might have what it takes but it hasn't been proven yet. AJ has a couple losses but that's what happens when you fight a bunch of at least decent opponents.

Plus I think AJ will learn from these Usyk fights, maybe not enough to beat Usyk but it will raise his ring IQ.

Right now this minute I favour Joyce.

But I'll reserve judgement and see if AJ bounces back against Usyk.

How come though? Usyk is much better than Joyce.
