His combos and very varied and hard to avoid, his punches don`t travel far either very neat and accurate.

Some people just think if your not throwing wildly or jumping around the ring like an amateur you're not effective in there. It's crazy how the brain perceive things sometimes isnt it.

Gotta look pretty on the eye to lots of people to think you're any good, look how over rated more 'dynamic looking' fighters have been in the past..

    If you know, you know!

Fight was three days ago and now we get this ground-breaking thread. Joe's not the only thing that's slow.

    At least he's impactful...

Against prospects and journeymen... And shot gatekeepers like Takam, Jennings and Hammer.

Against the serious guys? More than likely not IMHO, maybe we'll find out if he ever manages to fight one of them...

He certainly isn't easy on the eye and his punches do look slow............... yet he is so effective and the punches do land !

The amazing thing is Joyce is faster in slow motion than when viewed at normal speed!

He's so slow by the time his opponent has dodged the punch he's already back in the firing line for when it needs to land.

Joyce's chin is excellent - you cannot take that away from him. He may be the McCall or Chuvalo of this generation!

Stone hands. No need exceptional speed.

    I'm not convinced.

Once big punchers start landing on him (as opposed to the likes of Takam and Hammer) then we'll know how good his chin truly is.

He never looked really hurt by Kuzmin, he got up at 4 and looked fine. If anything that showed again how easy he is to hit. He got hit with at least 4 or 5 clean shots at the start of the round and didn't even go down was just knocked off balance and still had his feet under him.

He took some hard shots off of Dubois and Stiverne who put away Arreola something Ruiz couldn't do and which Wilder also couldn't do as Arreola quit against Wilder before he could be stopped. So I think Joyce has shown he can take a good punchers best shot and not even flinch.

Now that doesn't mean he can walk through a Wilder right hand but if Fury can take it who has been dropped multiple times by lesser fighters then I think it would take more than one big shot to put away Joyce. But problem for Joyce is we all know he'll take more than one big shot, even when he's more defensively responsible like in the Dubois and Jennings fights he's still vulnerable to getting caught clean.

How good his chin really is, is still up for debate it might not be McCall or Chuvalo level but at worst he has one of the better chins in the division right now, which is a good thing, because he'll no doubt need it when he does step up.

We'll see. a rematch with Kuzmin wouldn't be that bad of a fight if a big fight get inked for fall-winter. Kuzmin hasn't impressed much in the pros, but his close loss to Bakole has aged pretty well. It wouldn't certainly be more interesting than washed up fighters like Takam and Hammer, and I'm not sure the Parker fight would have been any good.
