Only time will tell. Bakole although not a world beater is pretty good and is in my top 15 atm he's a tough nights work for anyone. Yoka has been moved so slowly and it shows as when he has stepped up he got schooled and beat up. Considering he is a Gold Medallist (undeserved) and a Nation treasure (probably on the same level as a pre Ruiz Joshua in France) im surprised they decided to fight Bakole. Will he come again probably, will he pick up a belt probably, is he an Elite HW never in a month of Sundays.
He is very much a tough night for any heavy maybe apart from Fury and Usyk. People still say Chisora is a tough nights work and he has been shot to **** for years. This era of HW is so weak its criminal. Bakole beats Whyte, Chisora, Parker, Wallin, Pulev, H Fury, Hunter in a rematch but loses to T Fury, Usyk, Joyce, Wilder. So i would say he gives anyone a tough night. My opinion ofc.
He certainly seems to have Fraudley's lack of punch resistance! We will see if he also exhibits A-Farce's lack of heart!
I know I sound like a broken record, but it is ONLY a weak era because these goddamned no-good promotors keep recycling the same 5-7 guys. Give Bakole, Wallin, Gassiev, Sirenko, Sanchez, Makhmudov, Jalalov, Dytchko, Kabeyal, and Kossobutskiy a chance to beat and replace Whyte, Ruiz, Parker, Wilder, Ortiz, Helenius, Chisora and Martin, and all of a sudden it is a hot division with good fights and upward mobility.
He's 4 years younger than Harrison was at this stage when A Force suffered his first loss, so maybe he has time to improve but given that he's literally not progressed at all as a pro and fights the exact same amateur style, not having learned to counter, or clinch then I suspect this is Yoka ceiling and he won't progress any further. Maybe he could do what Wlad did and find the right trainer but right now he's learned nothing from Hunter, even the mental midget Khan made some slight improvements at first under Hunter before regressing. But Yoka needs to change something because right now what he's been doing isn't working and his career trajectory looks to be on the same path as Audley's if not worse as at least Audley won his gold medal without any stench of corruption and didn't have the suspicion of PED's surrounding him.
Boxing is a small medium in France (I'm French) and Yoka generates a lot of attention. For example, a guy on a French forum leaked Yoka vs Takam a few days before the official announcement.
