This is what I fear will be the case. Browne was very marketable against Wilder aready despite his level, and now beyond marketable after the big upset KO1 over Fa. I can only hope Browne repeats the upset if it happens, so everyone can have a good laugh on Wilder's expense.
If Wilder's making a return in the next few months the best candidates are PBC's Helenius or Martin. The former is coming off the best wins of his career (Wilder hasn't fought an opponent coming off a loss since 2013) and is higher ranked. The latter is a former world champion and would be a mutual opponent with AJ, thus beating Martin could be a good first step in building an AJ fight in 12-18 months. If Wilder's coming back in the next few months it won't be Andy Ruiz because he's fighting Ortiz in August. If Ruiz beats Ortiz then Wilder-Ruiz is the natural fight to make after Helenius/Martin, though Ruiz was recently trying to leave PBC to fight on Triller against a washed up kickboxer instead.
Probably Pov, far more proven fighter... Wilder's a live dog, you can never completely count out a guy with a decent chin and decent power.
Is Wilder coming back? It'll be someone low risk if he does - not only because it's his career blueprint but because he's likely to be rusty and low on confidence, it wouldn't make sense to put him in a difficult fight straight away.
Lucas Browne does not deserve a payday. Chisora fancies it doesn't he? Chisora is a household name and it'd be a relatively easy comeback fight for Wilder. Would probably do decent numbers in the UK as well.
