As long as Bowe comes in motivated, and, with a chip on his shoulder, he wrecks the safety-first Wlad in 7 or less.
He couldn't match him at range, Klitschko would pick Bowe apart on the outside. If Bowe got annihilated by Golota x2 at range, and outboxed by a washed up Tubbs at range. He ain't matching Wladimir in a technical fight. The only chance Bowe has is to get on the inside, and land that overhand right or uppercut.
This says a lot. I think Wlad would find out early he couldn't outjab prime Bowe and would get very discouraged inside. All that said, Bowe would get floored sooner or later, but come back raging to stop Wlad...let's say inside 11.
A prime Bowe barely got by a completely washed up Tony Tubbs, who fought him on the outside. And was also rocked numerous times vs washed up Tyrell Biggs, and had problems with Biggs on the outside also. If Bowe tried to fight at range vs Wladimir he would get picked apart, can Bowe win this fight ? absolutely he has a chance. But can he match Wladimir at range ? absolutely not.
This is what I think happens,he takes big shots but his chin holds up,whereas when he nails Wlad his doesn't. Like this; Riddick Bowe vs Jorge Luis Gonzalez - HBO World Championship Boxing June 17, 1995 - YouTube
Wladimir is leagues above Gonzalez though, who was a good Amateur but didn't really make the transition to the pros. I'm not disagreeing with you that Bowe can't win, i myself also picked Bowe to win after being behind on points. I just disagree with your assessment that he can match Wladimir at range, he would have to find a way to get inside Wladimir's jab, and beat him up on the inside with right hands and his very good uppercut.
Tubbs v Bowe ABC analysis Alex Wallau said he and fellow commentator Dan Dierdorf had Bowe winning by "a fairly wide margin." [ The Biggs fight was 10 fights before Bowe won the title and Bowe stopped him. We are matching prime versions of both men,or do I get to pick the Wlad of the Puritty or Sanders fights?
Bowe's opposition outside of Holyfield was pretty poor though wasn't it ? we have evidence of a prime Bowe struggling vs Tubbs, Biggs, on the outside. And even though Bowe was past his prime vs Golota. He still was dominated enough with the jab, that it leads me to believe Bowe would always of had issue vs Golota. And lets be real Golota was the best skilled big man Bowe ever fought, and he got beat up is that a coincidence ?
