Seen plenty of articles saying Wilder and his manager want Usyk/Joshua winner.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/b...yk-vs-Anthony-Joshua-winner-plots-return.html

    https://www.planetsport.com/boxing/...y-wilder-winner-oleksandr-usyk-anthony-joshua

He's supposedly fighting Helenius, and if he beats him...

What would that prove? That wilder is capable of slapping more average fighters? Helenius lost to Washington, and he slaps around fat ass Kownacki who likes to dick shot people, and now he's a contender again? LOL.

Wilder should have to face the winner of Ruiz/Ortiz, and if he KO's them, then at least he can then be considered part of the picture again.... but if it's Ortiz he beats for a 3rd time... is that even enough?

Why not call out Tyson Fury again? For a man who places blame on the corruption in boxing for his losses he sure is ready to come back to the business of boxing!

Fighters and their managers talk, it’s nothing new.

Im okay with the guy having a confidence booster after a brutal stoppage loss, and hey, he could do a lot worse than Helenius.

Ultimately, even if he got a fight with Usyk or AJ after Helenius, there is one reason…. $$$$$. I don’t see any other heavyweights being a bigger draw than Wilder in that time frame.

Like it or not, boxing is a business and that’s the way it goes….

Wilder should win two good fights to fight winner of Usyk vs AJ

    Helenius and Hrgovic
    or
    Sanchez and Bakole
    or
    Ruiz and Parker

Two big wins if he wants to get that tittle shot

If he beats Helenius and looks okay doing it, he's every bit as worthy as anyone else. Y'all want Parker to be first in line?

Seriously: let’s say Usyk wins and Wilder beats Helenius … so someone says Wilder doesn’t deserve a title shot — who exactly is going to get that title shot and what are they doing to earn it?

lol how is beating Helenius deserving of a title shot. He's basically a Chisora caliber fighter at best.

Who would be more worthy? No one is saying he'd be *entitled* to a shot, only that it makes sense under the circumstances. In that scenario he'd be the only top HW opponent coming off a loss, unless you think Parker or Joyce is more deserving for some reason.

If Fury stays in the game then Wilder has to move aside.

If Fury bows out and Wilder wins a credible comeback fight, he is right back in the mix.

Fortunately, there is no chance whatsoever that Wilder will fight a credible comeback fight--certainly not Helenius. So I will never have to eat my words about him.

Wilder and AJ were supposed to have a fight a long time ago, before AJ's loss to Andy Ruiz.
So Wilder has nothing to prove to fight AJ.
In the case of a fight with Usyk, he needs one extra win, and it could be AJ.
Mostly this era is poorer if there is no Wilder Vs AJ fight at all, and it could have been a fight for the undisputed HW Champion.

It should be Fury vs winner of Usyk/Joshua but Wilder vs winner is a good fight too. Don't see the problem. You're overreacting

He beat Gassiev to get the shot at the title. WBO have that rule for Super Champs being able to fight the champion a division above them.

An undefeated, undisputed champion from the weight class below is a bit different to what is under discussion

But I agree with the general sentiment, that other fighters aren't doing anything better than beating a Helenius at this point. So if Wilder gets in position, that's life. Shame on the other contenders for not fighting legit opponents themselves.
