    @Rumsfeld a couple of questions!

Is it possible to submit a list with fewer than 25? Not that I can't think of 25 spectacular KOs, it's just that there are maybe a dozen that really have a special place in boxing history/my own heart and I'll have to think about how to distinguish the lower ranked ones.

Also regarding spectacular, for me a large part of what makes a KO special are the circumstances. Should we consider them or are we supposed to be zoomed in on the moment of stoppage?

For example, the ending of JCC vs Taylor is a major spectacle but if you just saw the 10 seconds of Taylor hitting the canvas and coming up wobbly you wouldn't call it a special moment.

It's a very interesting exercise. It brings out the greatest excitement and cruelty of the sport where months of preparation by the fighters and waiting by the fans all lead up to a moment you can miss by blinking.

Roy Jones Jr. KO 1 Art Serwano

I'm not expert enough to make a list myself, but I can help with suggestions.

@Rumsfeld can confirm this but I think he wanted everyone to edit the original post rather than submit an updated list via a new post. From the guidelines in the OP:

    • You can edit your list up until the deadline, but if you do so PLEASE edit your original post where you submitted your list (or working draft).

In terms of keeping the stats uniform, I will require 25. However, you can most certainly consider the circumstances. How you define "spectacular" is entirely up to you. In my mind, you can make an excellent case for including JCC-Taylor,.

    22. Corrales KO10 Castillo 1
    23. Foreman KO2 C00ney
    24. McClelland KO1 Jackson 2
    25. Chavez KO12 Taylor 1

For me I decided to score each knockout's "spectacularity" by the following criteria. 1 point for each category.

Is the KO significant to the division/sport when it occured?
Is the KO a stand out aesthetically?
Was the KO an upset/come from behind?
Was the person knocked out difficult to knock out?
+1 point if person knocked out is a hall of famer
+1 point for one punch ko
