I think he eventually fights Tyson regardless.

Money was a HUGE motivator in Larry taking fights. So yeah, he would have fought Mike.

The worse part of the Spinks robbery imo is that Larry was cheated his rightful second title. If anyone after Ali deserved it most, it was him imo (and yeah, I'm a big fan of Holy, Iron Mike, Bowe, George, and Lewis).

Goes on. If he manages to hold it until Tyson starts becoming a thing, he holds out for a massive payday title defense against Tyson.

He was robbed of it again, and robbed of being the oldest HW champ ever, with his loss to Nielsen.

Honestly if Holmes still had his undefeated record, I don't think he fights Tyson. Remember in the last 2 or so years of Holmes's career. He was taking on less dangerous opposition, so he could ride off into the sunset after getting Marciano's record.

If Holmes beats Spinks he retires and never fights Tyson IMO, I don't think he risks the undefeated streak.

You could be right but I don't know, Holmes at 49-0 or 50-0 risking his legacy vs a young lion ? I'm not so sure. Remember Holmes made a statement when he was close to Marciano's record. That he wouldn't fight Thomas or any of the dangerous challengers at that time, and that he was getting on in age and wanted to cruise off into sunset. I can't remember exact quote but it was something along those lines.

I reckon he’d roll the dice to 50-0 with a soft touch go gloat to the Marciano family a bit and keep fighting till he thinks the number is good enough 60-0? Larry was a business man I reckon he comes back for Mike, yep.

He also made a comment about not wanting to get hit by big, strong guys…yet his last few defenses (with the exception of Spinks) were against big, strong guys. Money is the most influential factor to Holmes when he decides who or when he’ll fight. He’d definitely end up fighting Tyson because it’d be the fastest way to the biggest check for him

Gotta respect Floyd. You couldn't pay him enough now to tarnish his undefeated record.

I see him going 50-0 and being done until Foreman his back and is legit. Big Payday. I will say he would have been tempted to fight Tyson right after the 50-0 because of $$$ though who knows what Don King would have offered him. And I also think if he would have kept fighting and fought Tyson being undefeated he puts up a lot better showing against Tyson. Not saying he wins because he wasn’t prime Larry then. But he would have done better because he would have been active.

I feel like if he'd won, he'd have retired. Then Tyson would have become champion at some point, and probably someone would have made Larry an offer for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and he'd have come back.

He's fighting on imo. Larry carried on for absolutely donkey years anyway. If he still has a title he fights on making the money.
He'd eventually meet Tyson of course, even if he's still the champ or not.
And yes, he still gets kod.
