I'd probably lean toward Thunder. Thunder was only good for a couple years in there - around 1994 to 1996 or 1997. At that time, he had a pretty good jab (which he used to defeat Tubbs and Berbick and nearly decision Ruiz). A pretty good jab tended to beat Scott Ledoux every time. But, really, I have no idea. Plus, I'm biased, because I really enjoyed watching Jimmy Thunder fight on the USA network. Win or lose. Ledoux, I never really cared for one way or another. He'd eat a thousand jabs and throw wild over hand rights. There wasn't much going on there. I think the only time I rooted for him was against a come-backing Ron Lyle, and he couldn't pull that off.
Yeah, no. Ledoux didn't outwork anyone. At least Thunder outworked Tubbs, Berbick and Witherspoon (and nearly Ruiz). IMO, Ledoux would have to stop him, which he could. Thunder didn't have the best chin.
Interesting match up. Without any particularly heavy analysis, I would intuitively select LeDoux (freak’n’ auto correct spelt it “LeDoug”, LOL, maybe I should’ve left it) to outlast the heavily muscled and faster tiring Thunder. I agree with another poster, Thunder was fun to watch. That KO of Crawford Grimsley, so fast the cameraman almost didn’t zoom in on time. LOL.
