I know people on this forum don’t like AJ and what he stands for but jeez he KOs Bruno 9/10 times…I loved Bruno, I grew up watching him but he got beat consistently when stepping up to world level

9/10 I doubt it mate. He was in with Tyson and Lennox, his jab was working well against Lewis. I know styles make fights, but those 2 would ice Joshua in under a round. They are ATGs. I don’t remember Bruno getting dropped and stopped by a little fatty like Andy Ruiz.

Don’t believe the hype, I don’t mind him personally, but they put the gold medal on him and he’s never beaten anyone who would have been classed as world level when Bruno boxed for world titles.

Charles Martin was an absolute embarrassment. Some of these alphabet holders have been bloody awful.

FYI I used to dislike Bruno when he boxed, so I’m not being sentimental. Big Lennox fan.

Yeah 9/10 was probably an exaggeration more like 6.5/10 - Bruno was very limited and I think AJ would have too much power for him - they would’ve both gassed by the 6th!!!
I know he gets stuck for Ruiz but he was concussed from the 2nd round and didn’t know where he was for the rest of the fight-these things happen in heavyweight boxing. I don’t think he’s ever been the same since though

    Nothing like hype is there.
In a way I think he will be remembered like Khan - World class at his best with some flaws that stopped him being a truly elite.

I would have have Joshua down to beat Bruno at one point in time, but all of that was put into question after he got hammered by Rice Pudding Jr.

No heart ? Joshua showed tremendous heart after getting floored by Wladimir's best right hand, he survived the round then went on to stop Wladimir in a great fight. How many times did Bruno comeback in a fight from adversity ?

That's pretty much the only time in Bruno's career he comeback from being hurt, and let's not forget the bell saved him. Any other time Bruno got hurt he froze up along the ropes and got stopped.

Joshua survived getting rocked by Whyte similar to Bruno vs Cummings, but the only difference is the bell didn't save Joshua. And Joshua also survived Wladimir's best right hand, and comeback from adversity in that fight to stop Wladimir, so let's not pretend Joshua has never shown heart.
