USKY made a meal of shot old delboy chisora. Green Fury schooled prime delboy twice ten years ago. USKY made a meal of chinless heartless big Antony Joshua. Obese Andy Ruiz made Joshua QUIT like a dog. Joey twelve Parker beat Andy Ruiz over twelve. Dillian Whyteleafe beat Joey Parker over twelve. Fury won every round against prime whyteleafe and stopped him in the sixth. USKY is one hell of a cruiserweight but at heavy has nothing to trouble a H2H ATG like kronk Fury, nothing.
Yes no doubt he would also struggle with useless bellew and chisora..... oh wait he humiliated Delboy already when he was actually in his prime, not the old warhorse usyk struggled against
If they had to bet their lives on the outcome it would be 90% for Fury. Many find Fury easy to dislike personality-wise and he's proven a huge number of people wrong over the years, so some can't let it go and they're always looking for a new great hope to overthrow Fury. Even after AJ got destroyed by Ruiz he was supposedly the man to do it. If he avenges his loss to Usyk he'll once again be the man they place their faith in. Then there's the question of boxing history and nostalgia. Usyk is 6'3, 220 lbs: very much in line with heavies from 50 years ago (although Usyk is stylistically unprecedented as a modern Soviet school southpaw). If Usyk beat Fury it would provide evidence for the claim, at least in their own minds, that HW's from 50 years ago could be competitive today, and that the size advantage held by Fury and others is illusory. People also enjoy imagining and talking about what they would like to happen, maybe on some level they believe it can influence events.
Usyk rated himself 3/10 vs Chisora, because it was just a sparring match for him. He wasn't fighting his best. Plus styles make fights. Fury dominated Chisora because he's 7 inches taller with a long jab, and Chisora cannot really do much about that if the person wielding that weapon is actually good, unlike David Price. Usyk still beat Chisora comfortably. Usyk didn't dominate Joshua, but he beat him comfortably. At the very most you can give Joshua 4 rounds, but I gave him only 3. Fury has said he'll only fight Joshua, not Usyk. Maybe this is just talk, but if he doesn't fight Usyk, that says it all basically. If Usyk wins, which he most likely will, Usyk will be Fury's biggest payday, and also a chance to become undisputed world champion, and secure himself as an ATG champ.
The key to predicting this fight is when happens. Usyk could be 38, and Fury coming out of retirement at 300 pounds on drugs again. Who is which? If they were to fight is 5 months, I slightly favor Usyk. Two years form now who knows.
This. I love both guys but like you said gun to the head I got Fury but either man winning would not surprise me.
I'm leaning towards picking Fury. If Usyk is going to beat Fury he has to figure on going 12 rounds without somehow being forced to carry Gypsy King's weight. Fury gives a masterclass on how drain an opponent just by hanging onto him.
He will show that Brits will pay to watch him fight the same two bums innumerable times, In doing so, he can avoid anyone with a pulse.
