Exactly! Ctto was headhunting. I also think Cotto would've been better off just fighting on the inside with his faster hands and more precise shots. He could've landed some great counters to the body. I don't think Pavlik can hurt Margo to the head.

I agree cotto would give Mayweather hell. But Margo would give them more than that and did to cotto tonight.

Just look at antonio's losses and see why he lost.

I am so glad he won and THIS is better for boxing....and me pocket ;)

    Margarito's head won that fight.
Cotto hit it 100s of times with his best punches...to no avail.
Cotto will be seeing Margarito in his nightmares for years to come.

You could almost see this happening. Margo = granite chin Cotto chin? Cotto coudlnt hurt Margo and seeing how he beat Cintron who is a BIG welter with power it was a matter of time. I dont care what anyone says COTTO showed heart he was taking so much punishment.

PRops to both fighters; this is why I love this sport!

True but he would've landed much more body shots.

Cotto was winning this fight easily. The relentless pressure from Margarito got to him. Cotto is still a great fighter.

NOW we can truly see how GREAT that Margarito-Williams fight was, it followed almost the same script except that Williams had enough stamina to still be able to match the punch output of Margarito's. Cotto got the hell beat out of him and was looking totally spent from the 5th round on. Cotto now joins Cintron on Margarito's YOU are now MY ***** list.

Margarito-Williams rematch is the one I want to see.

Stunned and speechless is a huge understatement to the way I feel right now. This fight will change the way I talk/write about boxing predictions (I definitely will not be so arrogant and rule out the possibility of an upset like this again). I have watched boxing religiously for the last 2 years and I knew that small chance of an upset existed in every fight that I was absolutely sure on, but this is the first time that it actually happened and the guy I was so sure would win didn't. Hard to put this **** into words right now, I'm a big Cotto fan and it was hard to watch to say the least. Wow. ****ing wow.

It also sucks that a lot of the idiots who don't know much about boxing and constantly get things wrong when I get them right will be talking **** now and will always bring this up. Oh well, that's a whole different thing to get into and no point of taking it seriously anyways, it's just a forum. Credit to Margarito, he was in an unbelievable place mentally and physically tonight. Cotto didn't fight the correct fight IMO and I'm confident he will win in a rematch, but everyone has to give Margarito credit for getting this sensational win. One of the main things that pisses me off is that Mayweather might fight Margo now instead of Cotto. Holy ****.. Mayweather must be ****ing celebrating right now.
