I went for Margo late stoppage.

His chin is absolutely insane - he was copping a real beating after 5, but he swept 6-8.

    What a fight!

Best fight I've seen for ages that and especially as I didn't really care who won it.

Can't wait for the inevitable rematch.

A rematch would be a good watch, but I can't how cotto could win it.
He hit him with everything he had but couldn't dent margo.

    What a fight

    Margarito is made of steel

Cotto could not keep Margarito off him

As Bunce just said in the background "thats about as good as it gets"

Love it when a fight lives up to it's hype, Margarito broke his heart.

Rematch must be a certainty unless De La Hoya or PBF come calling. Just hope Cotto can comeback and be the same fighter he was before.

Well done Margo nothing was stopping him tonight.

    A CLASSIC

Puts the so called "fight to save boxing" DLH/Mayweather to shame doesn't it?

I'll fully admit I was completely wrong on this one. I expected Cotto to stop Margo late but as it turned out Margo's unrelenting resolve broker Miguel in the end. He was completely done at the end there.

What next for these two fighters? A rematch will no doubt be called for but I can't see how it will be any different. Margo may have to face that Nuzhnenko guy if he wants to keep his belt. The unification fights aren't really that attractive but are very much an option.

Margo may also want to try & avenge his loss against Williams. One things for sure, Mayweather won't be coming out of retirement to face that tough Mexican anytime soon.

Did the Freeview users get to watch the fight? It was all done for the 5am limit that Setanta said they had on the channel.

I think he will vacate or just pay stepaside money - no point facing a chump like that when you have just broken Miguel Cotto.

He might fancy Williams or even giving Cotto a return - he would retire Andre Berto and Zab Judah

Nah, the broadcast didn't start at all. The channel went into closedown at 3am. Had to make do with a stream at fight time. It's really frustrating since Setanta give little or no warning when this is going to happen. Their schedule over the next few months has some good fights but who knows if I'll see em live. Might have to cancel the subscription until they get it figured out and start giving a **** about their customers.
