It’s hard to really judge how good Tokyo Douglas was on that one night but assuming we gave him the benefit of the doubt and said he is as great as you would need to be to beat a Prime Iron Mike how would he stack up against AJ?

He would never of beaten an in-shape Tyson.

But clearly he was very good and very talented, we knew that anyway from the TNT fight.

    He boxes circles around Joshua.

Excuses, Tyson was in his prime. He was plenty busy and Douglas just knew how to fight him.

He had no business being in a boxing ring the state he was in.

That Douglas would give Joshua a beating!
AJ would have no answer for Busters jab.
Douglas either win s a decision or gets a ko.
I'm thinking more than likely the latter.

Tokyo Douglas slaps Joshua silly and wins by mid - late stoppage...

I can understand why people are a bit low on Joshua right now, but he had a much more impressive run of form than Douglas.

We shouldn't be treating this as a gimme.

Douglas got stopped by Tucker. Joshua does the same. Checkers not chess.

Well - some people on the forum haven't been all that high on Joshua, from the outset.

Regardless, Douglas doesn't need to have had a run of form for this thread poser. He shone that night in a way Joshua never has.

Totally agree and Douglas also had a huge size and reach advantages over Tyson, something he wouldn't have over Joshua.

Douglas gets a bit too overrated in mythical match ups, yes it was a very good performance vs Tyson. But it doesn't necessarily mean he should be favoured in alot of H2H match ups based on that.

Beating a 5'11 Mike Tyson who's mind wasn't on the job, doesn't necessarily mean Douglas would have an easy time vs 6'6 power puncher like Joshua.

Douglas has Joshuas both eyes being pampered in the corner by round 4.
