Arguello vs Ganigan wasn't one sided, Ganigan not only put Arguello down but rocked him several times. It was a very back and forth war up until stoppage certainly not one sided.

I guess you’re right in that it wasn’t one sided but still a fight in which Arguello to me looked to be in control throughout. Wasn’t really a point to me where it looked like Ganigan was going to be walking away the victor. Even with the knockdown it was a quick series of events, not like Alexis had been getting beaten down for an extended period of time. More like a quick and hard hitting guy got in on him effectively and got him down more so than Ganigan rocking him repeatedly then putting him on the canvas.

I’ll rewatch, but last time I viewed it looked to me that Alexis was almost entirely in control with the exception of a few brief periods

There aren’t that many that fit the exact criteria, I don’t think. Maybe some in the early 20th century that I’m not aware of, but I think that’s why people are trying to stretch the criteria a bit.

    Eddie Gregory - Eugene Hart.

I can't remember the expectations going into McClellan - Mugabi but man what a blowout.

Yeah, I thought of McClellan-Mugabi too. I’m not sure either about the expectations. Mugabi was on a downward curve after the Norris KO so I doubt it was a big shock, although McClellan wasn’t a big name at that point. I think it should qualify.

Fury, Hagler, Whyte, Frazier, Holmes, Norton - are not power punchers.

Maybe not Norton, maybe not Fury before Wilder II. But the others hit very hard imo, even Whyte.

Most pro boxers hit hard, but very few are defined as power punchers.
