He also trains alongside Salikhov from the UFC, so he probably trains in MMA too

Bakole would have put him down as well, a younger and better version that is.

Didn't Dychko get knocked out in the amateurs?

    That's a MAJOR red flag for a fighter's chin.

No, I hate boxers who get hyped without having done much.

Well we have seen enough to pretty much agree he has power. He might be the games hardest hitter, but skills is another issue. They are fair. He is below par here on a top ten benchmark, but then again so boxing's top ten. The top ten today is very top heavy and we really don't have a gauge on them either.

He chin is okay, based on the pros and the word series of boxing fights. I guess we will have to wait and see until he steps up. He has rare power, fair boxing skills, an above average to good chin. That uppercut of his is amazing and he when he hits journeyman boom they go right down unable to clinch or recover. That's rare.

Larry Holmes was KO'd badly twice in the amateurs by the same guy, once in round, the other in the 3rd IIRC

Lennox Lewis was KO'd by a Russian

Bowe was stopped a few times, once by Lewis

Tua was KO'd by Felix Savon

Mavrovic was knocked out or stopped by Ray Mercer but he stood up to everything a prime way bigger and heavier Lewis dished out him for 12 rounds

Mak was stopped by a fellow 6.5.5'' heavy handed brute of a man Magomed Omarov who would've done very well for himself had he turned pro

Here's a post of mine about Hrgovic's chin and how many of his peers were stopped in the ams by fighters he fought none of whom could drop him or even really hurt him

Mak might well get KO'd up at the higher level. I've never said otherwise. But likewise he's capable of knocking out anyone with that freakish power of his

Makhmudov vs Bakole is a matchup that makes sense both ways.

2 big avoided names, big risk low reward type of opponents.

The winner can get very well positioned.

Wallin, Browne, Kossobutzky are also names that should be in discussion for Big Mak

Some of his limitations have been exposed by two journeyman/gatekeepers: tall mover Rice and lumbering iron chinned behemoth Wach. He was also badly hurt and almost stopped in the first round against Nistor and got blasted out at the start of the 2nd by Omarov.

But he's a mountain of a man, very strong, has good determination and killer instinct, solid amateur pedigree (beat Majidov at 22 and KO'd Nistor in 5) and of course carries bone-crushing power, on a different level to Ajagba without question.
