So imagine if the 92 version of Holyfield stayed at cruiserweight instead of fighting Larry Holmes, and the 1992 version of John Ruiz, instead of fighting Kevin Parker? Who would've won? Obviously Holyfield by brutal stoppage. But the question I'm asking is, since they both went even with each other, at what weight and time would give the advantage of winning between the two of them? Think hard here since this is kinda mythological btw why did holy fight Ruiz so dang late? Evander if staying at cruiser, would have honed his skills for four more years after becoming unified champ, and the pre- heavyweight pre- tua woulda been just making his debut. IMO Tua almost scared Ruiz into going back down to cruiserweight and he became a defense first man hugger!
What about a common opponent? They each fought Rahman: Ruiz beat him by a decision, holy drew a draw with him (too many headbutts) made a hematoma on his forehead... I also realize common opponents don't mean shhh, but styles make fights.
