Haven't seen any promotion of this fight properly, and it's just 6 weeks away. The first 2 fights had much more hype and promo around it
Because GGG is 40 years old and significantly shot. This is a confidence building fight for Canelo to make everyone forget about his lost to Bivol.
Despite winning that Golovkin looked like ****. He was getting pieced up to the body. His speed and athleticism are gone. Canelo will dominate and stop GGG to the body, and the lot of you will say he beat up a 40 year old.
GGG hasn’t looked the same since the last Canelo fight. I thought he lost the Derveychenko fight and it seems like it took him longer than it should have against the IBF mandatory he fought after him.
Cause of pre filled cards. He got out boxed by Bivol and lost by 1 rnd. . Both prior GGG fights were filled with scoring controversy. So exactly what would be the build up ? At 40 years old GGG can pull of the KO to win ?, cause he is not winning on the card.
"fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me" People have already been burned by the 'decisions' from the first two fights - why should they bother paying for a third if the script is already written? Outside of the Canelo fans that are so desperate for a genuine win over Golovkin, no one else is buying into the hype. The reality is they have seen Golovkin robbed once and the second was also incredibly questionable (I had it closer than the first).
GGG was double robbed. The first fight is one of the greatest boxing travesties of recent history. The fact is that both were really good fights, very high level stuff. I will be rooting for Golovkin, and am very excited for the 3rd fight. Plenty of time for the hype train to start rolling.
