I always felt Ali would clearly beat Louis.
Just stylistically he would bother him a lot and is so much faster. Quicker feet and hands wins him a wide ud.

    Hi Buddy.
Just for clarity on this topic, and all like this concerning Ali, when you say " prime " it can be in the hard to define to Ali supporters, So for me his prime is 64 to 67 ( is that your Ali prime ? ) only some would argue that 70 to 75 could be his prime, considering all the very good HWs he fought in that time frame, so going forward when a poster puts Alis prime, what are we all having that as before or after the inforced break ?
    just wondering....
    stay safe guys.

Boxing is anchored in primal instincts and basic core practices so it’s hard to guess how it might evolve by 2100.

I would guess if the sport is still around, there wouldn’t be sufficient changes to alter your pick as it stands today.

As @Fergy alluded to, there could be broader venue options in the future - a big match on Mars would be cool.

Then again, maybe by 2100 they could fight via proxy robots to avert actual harm to themselves - but the robots still only have the natural resilience of their respective operators programmed in.

Extreme case scenario: boxing no longer exists by 2100.

Post apocalyptic Zombies rule. Little time for the remaining humans to enjoy previous indulgences - being too busy just trying to survive.

I agree matching two fighters from the past and putting them in the year 2100 is bizarre. Who would be around to see it here? What will boxing like then? A bunch of genetically alerted or given people who have what is now considered super human like ability is one guess. Another is the medical technology and brain damage done form very few rounds of boxing will become more visible and boxing itself will be banned. Either way I can only predict on what I know. Fighters like Billy Conn, Max Schmeling, Joe Walcott , and Ezzard Charles took Joe Louis to school and none of the were in Ali's class. He's much bigger, more durable, smarter, etc ... Ali via late round TKO or decision in 15 rounds is my pick as boxing as I know it.
