Once again no hard feelings. On some of my posts I am being sarcastic and nobody realizes that. I will quit with that. And my bashing of Frazier was not directed at you in anyway. I would have liked to seen a very active Weaver Vs Joe. I think it would have been a good fight if Weaver comes out at the beginning very aggressive. That’s not Weaver’s style. Yes Joe was a better fighter than Weaver! I do have my opinion on Larry vs Joe but that’s just my opinion. Doesn’t mean I’m right or wrong and my opinion was in no way directed at you on that. Once again no hard feelings. And I apologize if I insulted you in anyway.

Joe would have had to train like he would have done in his very future fight against one, Muhammad Ali twelve years later who by the way was fighting in the amateurs in 1959 by the name of Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr.

Yeah he’d have to be in top form. And against a peaking Sonny Liston that might still not be enough

Agreed, taking on a peaking Sonny Liston is no easy task, Liston is not Jimmy Ellis or an old faded Eddie Machen.

Well, not to presume, in ALL egocentricity, that anyone is talking about me. but in case you are -HOW DARE YOU!

Put your tongueth back in moutheth. Pleaseth?

Boy, I’d like a dollar for every “like” I’ve received - the sad truth however is, one dollar is actually what I’ve paid on average for each and every one.

Who says money can’t buy love…or at least “likes”?

To all my payees out there (yes, there are many) , please don’t share notes and compare monetary “gifts” - it will only lend to jealousies and lead to needless infighting.

Remember, it’s a performance based pay system - some go the extra hard yards and they are thusly rewarded for their above and beyond.

I’ve had some greedy ones though - asking for more than we originally agreed upon. I’ve immediately cut them off, the apple already starting to rot without abate. I tell ‘em “I’ve got other sycophants to feed, don’t you know?”

You might’ve noticed a few of them - quite disgruntled, originally very sucky and praiseworthy, now just downright mean to me. So fickle.

Oh, and please don’t forget to “like” after reading this. A few freebies would be nice.

I’m still hurting over that DP. Just tell me what I said wrong, maybe we can patch things and go back to just the way it was.

I have to agree with everyone who sees Liston as the major road block for Joe - and I love Frazier but…it’s Liston.

Of course, post ‘64, the likelihood of Liston prevailing diminishes at a fair rate - but tbh, as it was, if I was around to do it, I would’ve put a sneaky bet on Liston if he and Joe actually did knock heads in 68/69. Joe the favourite of course but very interesting to actually see such a fight play out.

Not the Sonny of old but Liston still looked pretty damn good vs Henry Clark, one of my favourite post title Liston performances.
