Personally I want to say: Lora Esparragoza Callejas It's odd because I think in terms of talent, Callejas might have had more than the others but his time at the top was so short, both because of weight and managerial issues. More's the pity.
Much appreciated; are they at all close in your mind? I wrestled with it a bit, in some ways they seem very similar in style and career trajectory to me.
I think Lora was clearly the better and more talented of the three. Esparragoza did more than Callejas but i think Callejas had more natural talent than him, at times Callejas reminded me of a more offensive version of Lora although not as good overall and even looked like him looks wise. Its funny i just finished rewatching the two Callejas vs Stecca fights like an hour ago. Great fights. Good to see these guys get some attention here. Great thread Sal.
Odd you should mention the Callejas-Stecca fights. Watched them last week back to back and they were the inspiration for this thread.
