It will be sooner than 5-10 years and yeah sky would definitely take matchroom back but it would not be exclusive like before.
I haven't noticed any decline in the boxing on Sky Sports since Matchroom left. It was rotten for the final 3 years under Matchroom with any fight of interest on Box Office. No difference at all on Sky Sports and from the complaints on here from DAZN subscribers, it would appear no different on DAZN either.
Such a significant price increase will probably bring more customers into the DAZN store I could understand it if DAZN had some significant announcements at the same time ? Either they are desperate or they don't know what they are doing ? Not a smart move.
Given the current cost of living crisis in the UK, I fully expect the £7.99 DAZN UK price to rise to at least £9.99 per month in the near future.
I guess we can live with that if the price for DAZN UK will be £9.99 going forward. The worrying thing is that all slightly above average fights will be PPV. DAZN UK must be very careful not to upset their customers. Especially considering that Viaplay starts shortly and here you get significantly more content compared to what DAZN can offer to its customers.
Thought I would have a look as the schedule on DAZN UK and the Don't Miss section has three PPVs and live Street League Skateboarding from Seattle for the monthly subscribers to watch. What is going on at DAZN?
You are correct fella. The poor boxing schedule while recognising the odd decent fight over 12 months has never brought me close to subscribing. Now I see it is all PPV and Live Skateboarding, I can live without this no problem without missing much.
I don't think I have seen a sports platform offer so much little value for its customers. Even at £7.99 what they are offering is not value for money. Why would any current subscriber continue there subscription when DAZN are offering so little content.
So am I right in preumimg that if you buy a DAZN PPV then you will be subscribed until you cancel too?
