Much as I think Ingo is overrated he should take this with little issue.

I believe that unless ingo caught him on the way in with the hammer of thor, Jerry would slip up under his guard and would hook him into a beating. I think quarry is faster both of hand and foot and has real power as well.

    Quarry by late TKO.

Tough one to call. I feel like the counterpunching Quarry was the more complete fighter but he was at his best against aggressive bangers and that is not Ingo. Every thing that Ingo did was to set up the right hand. He was very smart about not overextending himself and didn't leave a lot of opportunities for counterpunchers.

Truly a 50/50 fight to me but I think I am going to take the puncher in this one. I think Ingo opens up Quarry with a right hand at somepoint.

Ingo doesn't want any of that Quarry smoke.

I go with Quarry to me he's just the more seasoned fighter. Quarry by late stoppage, Ingo might drop him, but I think Quarry has a bit more in his arsenal.

This is very much testing my loyalties to Ingo - whose fantasy fight schedule is quite busy at the moment - so he is definitely in fighting form.

I will just say that I would like to think the Bingo sufficiently discombobulates (now there’s a word) Quarry to do the job.

I believe that George Chuvalo was the only fighter to knockout Jerry Quarry, it was in Dec 1969.

Quarry thrived against fighters like Ingo. Depends on how much you think of prime Patterson I guess.

Ingo has nothing Quarry can't counter him silly with. He also takes a better shot than the Swede, and a more varied, fuller offense.

    No contest here really.

Undecided. Ingo did better against prime renditions of Patterson and Machen than Quarry did. But the flip side is that Jerry did fairly well against big right handed punchers and his track record proves it. Tough one to figure out. My guess is that if these two men fought a trilogy we may see mixed results.

Swag could you elaborate why? How do you rate Ingo?

This was my natural reaction, Quarry is a counter-punching menace in his peak!

But this is a really solid point, and I feel extremely conflicted over the prospect of peak ingo v peak quarry. Really I don't know where to stand.

Fair call, but you would also have gone with Machen, for the same valid reasons!
