If Ortiz beats AJ-conqueror and former unified champion Ruiz next month I suspect that it will be the best win for a heavyweight in his mid-40's since Moorer-Foreman in 1994. Would it have any rivals in the last 28 years? I can't imagine it has many rivals in heavyweight history. I was doing some digging the other day and found that Ortiz was 178 lbs in January 1998 and 201 lbs in January 1999. If Ortiz was born in March 1979 as is official, that would make him an 18.83 year old amateur LHW and a 19.83 year old amateur HW: the exact kind of age you would expect the 6'2 Ortiz to be when filling out and finding it impossible to make his teenage weight. Could Ortiz be one or two years older? Maybe, Yoel Romero seemed to think so. But the idea that Ortiz is a decade older than his stated age is biologically impossible.
Hold on a minute there-when was that taken in 1909? When did he turn 29? Ortiz may very well still This content is protected be 141 years old! You gotta stop with the wild exaggeration.
Holy ****. Boxing fans are going to have to stop calling him Grandpa Ortiz, and give him his correct designation of Great-Great-Great Grandpa Ortiz!!
