Usyk was on the move all night, AJ was chasing shadows. Usyk was also throwing punches while he was on the move....very hard to stop this, AJ losing a lot of energy chasing him around and hitting air
Joshua did way better in the rematch but was not aggressive enough and did fade as usual but he did have his moments.I’ve said it before but too much is being made of Usyk up at Heavyweight because of his wins over the flawed Joshua .
I thought AJ did well, especially this time around. Bending at the leg, rolling with the punches and countering shots well. It just wasn't enough to beat Usyk!
Too much is made of Joshua's flaws because of his losses to the sublime Usyk. You now have people thinking he'd lose to Zhang.
That’s not the case to be fair to Joshua he fought a lot better in the rematch but it just was not enough to defeat Usyk. Joshua is still a top 4 Heavyweight in my opinion behind Fury Usyk Wilder,it will be interesting to see what Joshua does next .
AJs cardio looked a lot better than i expected considering Usyk was moving so much. He punched himself out in R9 with that onslaught though. It might be even part of Usyks plan to lure AJ in there so he (Usyk) can finish strong in 10,11,12 against an opponent who has nothing left. Usyk is a master tactician. He didn't look too hurt in that ninth. He was probably a bit surprised Joshua was still in solid shape so he gave him a big round to get 2-3 big rounds in return to finish strong.
Garcia definitely made some improvements for the fight: high guard, roll with the punches, change levels and work with your knees. Definitely made it harder for Usyk to land clear and control the ring, but bar a few moments, AJ didn't have enough. Usyk did a great job, especially since he was the one adjusting to Joshua's new tactics mid-fight.
AJ's not the best at cutting off the ring and that's probably the most important thing against Usyk as he doesn't stop moving.
