Hearn: I had a Joshua up by a round after the 9th

@Olu G. Rotimi can you point me to the spot on this video where Joshua protests and says, ‘No, I clearly lost the fight. Usyk outboxed me.’

If Joshua thought he lost the fight, here is a perfect chance for him to to say so. The only time he shakes his head no is when the guy says Usyk nicked it at the end. He even says ‘yeah’ or ‘yes’ somewhere along the way, agreeing with the assessment.

 

The other guy nicking it still means AJ lost. Why are you so fixated on this? It’s not important in the overall context.

This was bizarre. It was attention seeking and I bet Joshua himself was like wtf.

The only time he shakes his head no is when the guy says Usyk ‘nicked it’ in the end.

He shook his head affirmatively when the guy said he outboxed Usyk and had the perfect game plan and executed it perfectly.

To boil it down:

“Usyk nicked it in the end” = AJ shakes head no.

“You outboxed the best boxer on the planet and had a great game plan and executed it perfectly” = AJ nods yes.

He clearly thought he won.

 

The most interesting comment was Barry Hearn saying Usyk won comfortably, 116-112 for him. Bunce tried to talk up AJ's performance but the old Hearn wasn't having it and didn't make any excuses - back to the drawing board.

 

This sounds like a pep talk you give to your crying six year old son after his footy team gets twatted 18-0.

 

The funny thing about the thread title is it should read:

Eddie Hearn: Even I couldn’t find a way to score it for AJ, Glenn Feldman is a genius

Love how Hearn Senior blew it apart by saying Usyk won by 4. By definition that means Usyk was at least 1 up by the start of the 10th. Maybe Eddie should listen to the old man a bit more.
