Great uncle Jimmy Young predicted an early-ish stoppage over the lion. This was based on Holyfields efforts a man he saw not much larger then Marciano truly. Anyways 15 rounds.

No poll, we don’t do that.

I imagine Marciano would make Lennox real uncomfortable with his crowding and Marciano just needs one solid right hand to stagger Lennox. Granted Marciano fell to JJW's punches, and Lennox certainly has a stronger punch.

Idk. Lennox probably has difficulty finding range. Marciano gets knocked down twice or three times but ends up winning by TKO over Lennox after the 12th is my best guess. I can't see Lennox finding the bomb he needs to put Marciano away, and I would venture to say that Marciano would crowd and force Lennox to gas himself going into the remaining 5 rounds or so if he had not already.

Mental to suggest anything other than a Lennox Lewis victory.

If Lewis can avoid getting hit on the choppers he should be on course to run away to a 12 rounds points win like he did against Tua.

He should pray it isn’t set over 15 rounds though.

Let's be real. He's a modern day LHW. Going up against not just a SHW, but probably the greatest SHW. Marciano would be giving up 7in in height, 17in in reach, 60lbs in weight.

Really guys? This is a question? This is like putting a strawweight in against a super middleweight.

The problem with these mythic matches is they do not take into account the differences in nutrition and in the 40_45 years apart in the question.

A 184 pounds rocky would not have been allowed to fight as a heavyweight in the 1990's.

So does Lewis travel to the 1950's, in which case he would be far smaller without the modern nutrition and with the fact he would be fighting in 15 round fights, or does Roc kytravel to 1999_2000 America, in which case with modern nutrition and 12 rounds fights he is an easy 205–210 pounds?

Either way, the size advantage still goes to Lewis because of his far greater reach and height, but the weight difference between the two would not be THAT huge.

Lewis kept evander outside, by halting his advance with his powerful and heavy jab, but evander still managed to give him pure hell.

Holyfield's hands may have been faster, but Rocky was tougher, better conditioned with more power and unlike evander, he would be at his best showing up for this fight.

Could Lewis use his raw power to keep Roxky outside, did have a jab strong enough to hold or push him back, and the sheer punching power to beat him down once he is kept outside while he tries to batter or push through the jab?

    Probably.

In the end, i would go with Lewis by decision or a late TKO on cuts, but if the rock got by that jab and caught him clean, he could stop even the best version of Lewis.

Lennox too big for Rocky. We're talking about two different weight categories here - Imagine Marciano in all his ferocious glory being unleashed upon a lightweight or light-welterweight,and picture the result. That's the difference in size we're talking about. Now turn that scenario on it's head and imagine Rocky as the lighter man against Lennox.

Some will mention Jack Dempsey and Jess Willard but that was a bout when one guy was all fighting weight and no flab, and the other man being some muscle and some flab. With Lewis and Marciano it would be two men at their optimum fighting weights.

No I think that is the old interpretation.

Rocky Marciano is a heavyweight and always was a heavyweight.

Lewis is a super heavyweight . That category exists.

if you look at Amateur boxing that’s how they have it. Lewis was one in the Olympics.

The big guys came along and they gave them a new division and a chance to write their own history.

it didn’t change what a heavyweight already was. If a classic sized heavyweight cheats the scales to become a modern lighheavyweight it doesn’t change what he is.

Lewis later represented what became a new division. He was a kind of pioneer in a new history.

All those other champions were the real original heavyweights.

After 4 rounds it goes to the scorecards and Hagler loses a controversial split decision, the audience all agrees that butterbean wouldve easily won this contest (Stop making Marciano vs heavyweight champion from the last 30 years posts)

The best I can do is give Marciano a puncher’s chance but I can’t favor him

It would be hilarious just to see the height and reach difference, it would be the real life Rocky Balboa vs Ivan Drago, Lewis with 7 inch height advantage, 60+ pound weight advantage, and a staggering 17 inch reach advantage.
