IMO, Lara, not Khan, had the best chance of beating Floyd. Lara was one of the few fighters who could compete with Floyd in ring IQ, and was naturally bigger, taller, longer, fast, and a southpaw.

Lara vs Floyd would result in a Mayweather win and the most boring match in boxing history. Lara was not an offensive fighter until he got too old to move around.
Mayweather vs Khan would have been a great fight in my opinion. I still believe Khan would have gotten KO'd because he gets cocky, but it would have been great to see over Berto and Maidana 2.

Yeah, that would have been boring but also very competitive. I wish Lara got it instead of Alvarez.

Does Lara possess an inside game of the level of Duran ?
Does Lara possess the insane ability of Sugar Ray Lenoard ?
Does Lara possess the maddening work rate of Pryor ?

If not, Floyd will potshot him all night long on the way to a UD.

I've been told that Floyd doesn't struggle with southpaws.

He kind of does, though. Just about every fighter does, simply because they're not used to fighting southpaws.

Every fighter struggles with southpaws including fellow southpaws and it is also true Floyd beat and outclassed every southpaw he faced. Ask the likes of Pacquiao, Zak Judah etc

No he would not. Floyd beats Williams. Floyd only loses in hypothetical matches in real life he taxes everyone’s ass.

Prime Mosley vs Mayweather is a lean towards to Mosley. Sugar Shane was 5'9" with a 74 inch reach. Had lightning speed and power in both hands. He is faster, stronger, bigger and meaner than Floyd Mayweather was. I do not think Floyd Mayweather enjoys a fight with a 28 year old Mosley. We saw how he went into a total shell after 1 flush punch from an older Mosley. To stand in the middle of the ring like that against a prime Mosley and stand totally still with earmuffs on is suicide. A prime Mosley would thrown a complete avalanche of incredibly hard punches.

Lara lacked the offensive arsenal to beat floyd, sure if they fought on the outside lara probably has the upper hand, but what made floyd great was his ability to switch up his style and take other fighters out of there comfort zone. Similar to the judah fight floyd would put the pressure on lara and take away his 1-2, forcing him to rely on other weapons which he doesnt have.

    Paul Williams
    Winky Wright
    Manny Pacquiao (2009-2012 version)
    Antonio Margarito (would Castillo Floyd)

    All impregnate Floyd.
