No way in hell Williams does what Margo did yesterday in the ring, hell no. First of all Williams cannot take 200+ power shots to the head and look ok. Second of all Williams doesnt have the power to end Cotto. Plain and simple dont hype Williams up hes not that good, no doubt it would be a good matchup but you guys are acting like Williams could knock COtto out too.

Margo couldn't break him down. Don't forget he's a big welterweight just like AM. I say PW is slightly favored over Cotto.

But williams had the power to not get walked over the way Cotto did.
Williams had the stamina and heart to come out and win the 12th round after looking like he was going to get stopped in the 11th. Williams was able to take Margo's shots for 12 rounds, something Cotto could not. Add in the insane reach advantage combined with the sheer volume. The ask yourself how much did this fight take out of Cotto?

    imo Williams beats Cotto.

he was hurt against marg. The thing about it is Margarito lost that fight clearly and had no gameplan after giving away 6rounds. Cotto doesnt give rounds away and could deffinitely keep up with williams workrate.

Williams workrate may be higher them margo's. Atleast it was when they fought. And you think Cotto looks small compared to margo:lol: . PW would dwarf him.

cotto wouldn't hit williams with over 200 power shots. If cotto fights williams, he loses.

You are right Williams would not take punishment that Cotto dished out. However he wouldn't have to because he would be harder to find than Margarito was. If Cotto-Willams fight happened it would most likely go the distance and be very close on the scorecards. Tough one to call on who would be the winner since both have one L on their records.

Funny how **** changes...a month ago Williams would probably loose by TKO in the first round in the eyes of everyone. Dont forget how badly Cotto beat Quintana and Quintana has 1 over williams.

He also came back, and knocked him out cold with only a few punches!
Don't think I've ever seen somebody come to get there title back quite like he did after he lost pretty badly.
If that version of PW fights Cotto I doubt Cotto can beat him. Williams is almost a complete fighter. Everyone complained about how he only threw slaps (even though it was like thousand punches or more per fight), now he proved he can also PUNCH. The ability to throw more than a thousand punches per round (some devistating hard, and some very soft), great workrate, a good chin, good speed, and his enormous size...The only one who could stop him was the Margaritto we seen last night. If he could chop down Williams...
I think Cotto is out of the mix right now. I'm sure he'll be back eventually, and even better, but not any time soon.

There 1-1. Williams stopped him in one in the rematch. Tough fight to call. Williams beats Margo, Cotto beats Quintana and Quintana splits two with Williams.

Winning/ losing to X guy doesn't really matter. What matters now is only what's happening NOW. Such as Marg has 5 losses on his record....Yet, NOW it'll take one hell of a man to put another loss there! Quintana beat Williams badly, but yet Williams came right back to murder the guy!
There's just certain stages in life. Right now is around Williams/ Marg's primes of what there going to be physichally. Sometimes it takes a loss (Paul Williams losing to Quintana, or multiple losses like Marg has) to really bring out the best of ones self. It seemed work for Williams, and Marg...Let's find out if it works for Cotto or not. If he does come back (which he should) I'm betting you'll see a Cotto amplified. He was good, but now that he tasted defeat he'll train the much harder, and be that much more of a warrior. Plus, he saw what it felt like to go 10 rounds, running around the ring, the doubt it created whenever you hit a guy with your best shot and he stands there, to be exhausted and beat down, and your body gives out on you. If a person uses a fight like this positively instead of negatively then it's a beautiful thing...because after a war like that it DOESNT GET ANY WORSE! He already faced the hardest fight he'll ever face, and he already feels what it feels like to be beaten. Things are only UP from there if you come back.
