My take on the fight for anyone interested.

I actually think this could wind up being the most entertaining fight in the rivalry.

Solid point about GGG's defense, and being 40 will only exacerbate the situation. It's just don't see a path for GGG winning a decision .I see Canelo out quicking Golovkin, at his age I don't think he can let his hands go and get to Canelo with combinations so I think he'll be throwing a lot of single shots and having that old man hesitation in pulling the trigger . I'd say GGG best chance is to try and hurt Canelo early and get him outta there inside 4 or 5 at least put him on his back foot. But since Canelo hasn't even been close to being ko'ed this is a tall order. My prediction is the same , Canelo by UD , but if GGG looks his age and takes punishment early the referee might call a halt to this around the 11th round.

Smart money is on the Canelo decision for sure - totally agree Rummy.

I'd LOVE to see GGG dig out one last amazing display, but Canelo's whiskers are granite, and he's too savvy to get hit to the body (uppercut counters etc) so the route to even a knockdown (much less KO!) for GGG is fairly slim - short of a Marquez-Pac like perfect punch!

An apt comparison may be Toney-McCallum III instead, where Golovin, like the aged McCallum, is just savvy and tough enough to lose a clear but fairly competitive decision. Hopefully Golovkin doesn't take that route, but sometimes age handcuffs you.

Thank your for your new video! I love them!

I think canelo will win an UD. In the second fight gg showed that he doesnt hesitate to go backwards when he thinks he's going to be hurt, so I think that, after a few initial rounds, the fight will go this way and finally canelo will get a clear victory on points this time, with gg going backwards and fighting on the back foot looking for some counters and mostly for survival.

GGG is going on very uncertain ground.
In those years, he boxed for the first time in the super middleweight category; in the category in which Canelo is the undisputed champion.
With this victory, Canelo would "prove a lot" that the judges scoring in the first two fights was not controversial.

I do think that is a valid point of comparison in terms of the style clash.

Unfortunately GGG is an old robot now, Clenelo will defeat him and he'll act like he defeated Goliath. This is just a confidence/ego boosting fight for Clenelo. I will not be paying to watch it.

Well done, @Rumsfeld. I really wish I could agree with you. I will be rooting for Triple G but I can't see the fight going the distance or even seven rounds. Golovkin did not handle Murata's punches well and was stopped in his tracks on a few occasions. I believe that once Canelo realizes how much Golovkin has aged he will become very aggressive and finish the fight.

Guys, Canelo's chin isn't Golovkin level, he's just harder to hit clean.
Everyone who fights him mentions the frustration of this.
Golovkin would never be hurt by Cotto's brother or Kirkland, who Canelo recently claimed hurt him more than Golovkin.
He was trying to diminish Golovkin, but that comment proves Canelo's chin isn't granite. If Kirkland can hurt Canelo badly you better believe Golovkin can.

Golovkin absolutely can KO Canelo if he lands properly, it's just been hard to string together the proper shots so far.
But we can't lose faith in that. We've got one more shot, let's make the most of it and believe in the victory.

The judges were wrong in the first two fights. What happens in this fight is Canelo is fighting a 40 year old. If the forty year old beats him then Canelo surely lost the first two, but if Canelo wins, he only beat a 40 year old.

In a recent interview Canelo said that Golovkin hits hard, and rated GGG as a 9 out of 10 puncher regardless of weight divisions. This is coming from someone who fought at the highest level going up to 175lbs. He also said it took everything he had to squeak out a decision in the last fight. He knows Golovkin will be a big challenge. Now he says it is his goal to end it before 12, as appose to, i will knock him out, not maybe, i will retire him.
