Hope we get Southpaw Whyte for this fight, was a thing of beauty. Dillian is finally accepting his place in boxing and stepping into the Chisora role nicely.
Dubois is very stiff and doesn't move his head. He only throws the one-two straight with the occasional body shot. Look at his performance against Trevor Bryan. If he can't hurt an opponent he struggles.
Hearn & AJ want Whyte in a stadium fight next year. Knowing that, seems unlikely Whyte would fight Dubois this year. Surely more likely Whyte vs a barely known “top 15”.
Dubois will destroy that fat mess Whyte. For Dubois' flaws, he's young, hungry and has a great trainer in McGuigan. Whyte is an arrogant fat ****, who's arrogant beyond belief, has a chip on his shoulder and thinks the world owes him a favour.
whyte has worse fundamentals than dubios, I agree he’s stiff no doubt, also whyte has no head movement he’s a terrible judge of range and has absolutely awful balance and foot work he’s always stumbling over himself, whyte to his credit is a good body puncher and has a good left hook.
I think it's a tough fight to call actually. A good case can be made for either fighter, both have their strengths and weaknesses. It's a good match up that I hope goes ahead but sceptical that it will.
Fair points. Whyte doesn't get enough credit though for beating fighters like Parker, Povetkin, Rivas, Browne.... If he is motivated I have to go for experience over youth. Hopefully the fight takes place.
my problem is most of whytes win’s there’s massive asterisk‘s involved on pretty much all of em. parker fight joe got concussed from the head butt and whyte refused to have re match Rivas whyte’s failed drug test’s, povektin win povektin looked like he could barely stand up and had been in hospital on ventilator due to covid, Browne was shot to pieces and had been ko’d by chisora in sparring two weeks before the fight, chisora 1 for me shouldnt of got the decision but fair anuff on him stopping chisora in second fight. also most of his wins have been life and death cause unfortunately he’s not a level above them guy’s no matter what Hearn says.
You don't really need head movement against Whyte - as long as you can move your body out of the road, the only shot that will cause any damage is the left hook or a windmill right. Dubois is probably more in range of the latter with his height but footwork should avoid it. For me it's still 50-50 but if McGuigan can teach Dubois the right lateral movement and how to set for an uppercut, he'd win.
Whyte hasn't even entered the ring in shape for the last 5 odd years, it seems like he just can't be bothered any more. And even when he was in reasonable shape he was never very good. I can't see him being a problem for Dynamite except for a lucky punch.
