The whole thing is weird "Hip hip hooray" 5 times and all that shiz. AJ obviosly has a chip on his shoulder when he thinks of Tyson, marciano, snd Dempsey otherwise he wouldent have mentioned them in comparison to himself.
Agreed. Usyk is near the same dimensions as Ali. He's literally a natural 70's size HW who was cutting down to fight cruiser and then to step up to HW, stopped cutting down.
That's the case with most CWs today. They're all naturally around 210-220 but cut to make weight. They're not small men at all and it annoys me to no end when they're painted as such (usually by idiots who don't even follow the division).
Only God knows the extent of the damage on his brain caused by Ruiz in the first fight. The guy is completely nuts. First of all boxing is technique not power, he should know that. He thought that being strong and heavy would have been sufficient to beat Usyk. Heres why he named only punchers in his speech Tyson, Liston, Dempsey who are not in the best 6 ever. He should have named fighters like Ali, Holmes, Lewis, Holyfield who are in the top 6 ever and were technical and skilled boxers first.
A former cruiserweight that weighed over 220 pounds. Keep in mind that both Dempsey and Marciano fought in the 180's. You really think either of them would stand a chance at heavyweight today? Marciano was maybe 5'11 and would like fight at light heavy or maybe even super middle if he was around today. I'm not disrespecting them. Both were great in their era's but head to head with later era's, they are simply too small to be effective.
He's a new breed of heavyweight and is not a 12 round fighter, he's a heavy guy. Lennox Lewis, Vitali and Wlad were all about the same size as him and had no problem going 12 rounds. It's just excuses. A very dumb statement. Valuev was even bigger and went 12 rounds without puffing for air.
Tyson (when young), Liston, and Dempsey were all skilled technical fighters who were also punchers. Although I will say that if you're naming skilled technical fighters who were also punchers and you don't name Lewis, you're doing it wrong.
