Why don't more fighters work the body when they have their opponent hurt? Take their opponent's unsteady legs out from under them.
It just seems obvious to me. Your opponent is already on unsteady legs. Hit him with body shots to take his legs out from under him. Also, if you hurt your opponent with a punch to the chin, he's going to try to protect his chin, and won't be as worried about body shots.
I agree. Just seems like most guys don't actually know how. I'll tell you what though these Uzbek and Khazak southpaws really dig that left to the body. There was a time when the straight rt to the body was used by conventional fighters but that pretty much died off over time
Going to the body is always a risky proposition unless you're an elite body punching specialist like Inoue. Going to the body leaves you wide open for counter hooks.
Everyone today is to concerned with losing an 0 if there undefeated …. and taking a risk like going in on a hurt opponent is too risky for them in the times of business over boxing
