Edwin Valero 86-6 with 45 KO's giving him a KO percentage of 49%.

Also the headgear era of amateur boxing will have less KO's than the olden and current era of amateur boxing with no headgear.

Oh, Ginjiro Shigeoka went 56-1 with 17 KOs, with his only loss being to his brother after he quit so he wouldn't have to fight him. 30% KO rate.

Am amazed nobody brought up Inoue yet, 75-6 (48 KO's or RSF's) giving him a 59% KO ratio.

Wasn't it Beterbiev that held the percentage and total record?

    What about no mas rate?

Loma has four no mas wins in just 18 fights and it should actually be 5 because this was clearly a no mas too

It’s funny every time someone says “it’s harder to KO with headgear”, lol, do anyone actually know why you use headgear?

Anyhow, stoppages is pretty common in the amateurs but you don’t see too many KO’s where they are completely out, mostly because the ref is breaking for a 8 count way too soon (to protect the fighters), sometimes just after a hard hit. So even though it’s impressive with a high “KO rate” in the amateurs it doesn’t mean it’s actually a KO.

ray robinson had a ridiculous ko rate in the amateurs. I dont remember the numbers, but I remember to think that it was plain ridiculous when I read it.

There was a guy from Venezuela. Carlos "Kiki" Vera.
For some reason, he had only one Pro fight in 2012. But according to boxrec, he had 82 KOs in 121 amateur wins.
