Who will you be rooting for: Savannah Marshall or Claressa Shields?

We never got Christy Martin vs Lucia Rijker, but ill tell you what this is probably as big as that fight ever was! It should be a classic! War Shields

Who can honestly have any morale and root for Shields?

 

Not interested in the fight.....however....I'd find it real hard to root for Shields.

 

I'll root for Marshall. Seems the better blokess.

 

I'll be rooting for Marshall, I enjoy her style and her fights. Rare to see a woman boxer, dismantle and KO opponents like her.

Shields has gone the Mayweather route and adopted the villain persona as her style of boxing is one for the purists only. It's an obvious move but effective, she definitely does a good job of annoying certain fans, so no doubt she'll have a lot of fans against her.

I'm expecting a close fight but Marshall's power and size to be the difference. Hopefully it's a good fight with some real drama as it's a good mix of opposing styles and maybe we even get a rematch of it's really close. Would love to see a competitive trilogy in female boxing one that garners interest from a wider audience.

 

I'm rooting for the bout to be a massive disappointment that generates little in the way of post-fight social media buzz and completely undermines the advancing of Sky's plans to push womens' boxing down the UK public's throats.

If that means a W for Shields, so be it. She can then take her belts and go back to the US where she will continue to get short thrift from the networks due to established lack of audience interest.

Karriss Artingstall might as well rename herself Karriss Lemonadestall and set up an actual lemonade stall outside her house, whereby she will attract more custom than will ever pay specifically to see her fight. 'Lemon' is Brit slang for a lesbian, and the lemon is a fruit that is as sour as Karriss and Lauren's faces, so it all makes perfect sense.

She hasn't. She actually came to Britain to make a good impression with her most saccharine, Serena-like false smile and her best bow and curtsy, then the Marshall girl started talking about wiping the floor with her and it all went out the window.

Claressa isn't that calculating. She just is what she is, so far as her massive **** streak goes. If it was a heel act to attract viewers, she'd have given it up already since it got her nowhere in the US. As her Showtime fights got bigger, her ratings actually declined until she was dropped and left to ditz around putting on her own flop PPVs and sulkily experimenting with MMA.

Maybe Top Rank/ESPN will give Shields/Salita a chance if she mops Marshall up. But the audience won't care any more than they ever did and her ratings will stink just like before.
