I think hes rated perfectly where hes at. Hes number 2 on my p4p ratings and its more than deserved. But I do think we'll see how great he really is once he moves upto 122 pounds.
Severely underrated. Inoue has the most efficient and effective footwork in the game. Yet he NEVER gets credit for his footwork. Or his ring IQ. Usyk and Lomachenko are usually mentioned.
Underrated.. If he’s American and just a slight bigger he would have been p4p no1 for the last 4 years.
Interesting thought. Normally, it is the other way around. Hardcores are tougher to impress and will often wait longer than they should before giving a fighter his just due. Casuals, on the other hand, tend to glom on to whoever is big at the moment and declare them the best fighter in the history of the universe.
Hes not overrated regarding his skills, but he still hasn't got a stand out win on his resume. Donaire was old and had already been beaten numerous times, it's not like Inoue beat the P4P version of Donaire in 2011. Now don't get me wrong I really enjoy watching Inoue fight, I think hes a fantastic talent and one of the best smaller fighters we've had in sometime. But He needs to move up and fight some of the other champions.
