Remain hopeful but would not be surprised if there is a blanket approach postponing all sport over the weekend. We have been told to mourn for 10 days, the TV is already 24/7 coverage of the Queen's death, Sky Sports has been replaced with Sky News today covering the Queen's death - it is not looking good for tomorrow mate.
This content is protected If Premier League football on the weekend is postponed then the Boxxer card will also be postponed. It all hinges on the Premier League.
Footballs just been called off, something about the crowds and policing and showing respect. Won't be an issue for the boxing though, can just do that 10 bells thing. She would have loved that.
Its not, unfortunately I don't think they will have the balls to go ahead with it. Such a shame if so, as they have all worked so hard to get in this position. Guess us plebs should just get on with the enforced grieving.
Don't know if we will get an announcement until after the weigh-in. Don't know much about it really, but when do the fighters actually get paid ? Will it be after the weigh-in ? Or when then they are in the ring ? I assume Boxxer will have insurance for this sort of thing. Someone on here must know ?
Seem to recall the standard rules state that once a boxer weighs in, the fight's on and they get paid. Be surprised if the weigh-in isn't held off while they make their mind up... Most other things are off tomorrow so it's hard to see a shouty "grudge match" being allowed to happen on British TV.
The fact they won't even put a time frame on when decisions will be made so people can plan accordingly says it all. I'll just say this regarding the whole situation, have the same respect for these people as they have for you.
It's ridiculous that sport has been cancelled, it makes absolutely no difference to anything if sport goes ahead. People really aren't that fussed about the Royals, we're entering a time where people are having to choose between turning the heating on or eating, we've got bigger things to think about than someone who lived a privileged life until the age of 96.
They are telling you to mourn for 10 days mate - this is their plan to make sure you do. What they fail to realise is people end up mourning sport and become even more anti-establishment.
Has anyone seen that clip of a BBC reporter saying that the energy crisis is insignificant now that the Queen is dead?Outrageous wish i could post the clip but don`t know how
