Yeah who knows what will happen, Hunt is 47 and out of shape but I still fully expect SBW to fight like a cat and be on his bike all night.

I think SBW is biting off more than he can chew. Hunt is a different breed and will likely be there to win. SBW can't beat anyone with real pedigree regardless of age who shows up to win as Botha proved.

I hope you are right as I would love to see Hunt land a massive shot for a walk off KO.

Nothing really to gain here $BW. He is probably going to see a very lucrative and increasingly winnable fight with Gal never come to fruition because he either doesn't understand the market or is to arrogant to think everything will just fall into place for him.

When Gallen took the fight there was genuine concerns for his health, #prayforgal.
Despite Hunt's age and conditioning he had actually been training for several months, most thought he didn't even need to because Gal suited him perfectly.

Now with him even older they have made no secret they have dragged him off the couch where he was eating cheescakes.

It's very risky for little return. Not even sure how well it will sell tbh.

Sonny is an amazing athletic specimen but is far from a master boxer. He ain't that hard to hit and don't think he is all that resilient. Hasn't got a weak chin from what I've seen but seems clueless under fire, it's just he hasn't really faced anyone dangerous enough to take advantage of this.

He probably outpoints Hunt, wouldn't be shocked with a premature stoppage so they can pump him up with the fact he did one better than Gallen.
But man would it he a sweet KO if Hunt could land the big kibosh.

I just don’t understand what SBW is doing.

I could sort of understand fighting Hall, because he got that draw with Gallen and so to the uninitiated maybe KOing Hall makes SBW look good

However, what could he possibly have to gain by fighting a 48 year old (let’s put this in perspective - 4 years older than Botha was when SBW fought him) who already LOST to Gallen? Not only is he avoiding Gallen, he’s highlighting the fact by fighting someone Gallen already beat. It’s just about the worst PR move he could make.

Now with that being said, Hunt can’t move his feet at all, is morbidly obese and 2 years ago he had cardio for about 5 punches a round. SBW should be able to more or less have his way with him, but it’s all risk no reward given the chance Hunt might land something.

What sort of ‘different breed’ is Hunt at this point really though? A younger version of Hunt was soundly outworked by a novice in Gallen. Hunt at this point is terrible.

Also SBW did legitimately beat Botha like 7-3 or 8-2…..(legitimately in the sense that that was a fair score for the rounds actually fought)

What I mean he's a real fighter and tough as nails. SBW may be younger, more athletic - but he is not someone who lives and breathes this like Hunt has. Yeah - Gallen had to eat some big shots to get the nod there. If Hunt tags SBW with a good shot based on the latters history he will fold. But would he have won with the ref allowing him to wrestle when he was practically out on his feet and the fight being cut 2 rounds short without Bothas knowledge? Obviously not.

Channel Nein in Australia want boxing for their PPV channel (can't remember what it's called). Unfortunately, the people tasked with spending their money on the sport haven't got a clue what they're doing. The best they can come up with is to give it all to $BW & hope for the best. I hope some of it trickles down to other decent fighters in this country although most of them appear to be tied up with other promoters who either have deals with Foxtel/Main Event or DAZN. There's a few who don't so they could produce a decent show if they knew what they're doing but I think it's highly unlikely. I think they had Paul Fleming on the undercard last time in a good fight but he's since signed with Dean Lonergan. Willis Meehan was supposed to be on their last show but his fight was cancelled at the last minute.

Matchroom have one the purse bid for Bridges O'Connell
I reckon Eddie is gonna try and stack the deck against O'Connell and try to make the fight in the UK
It won't matter though as I think Shotgun is gonna stop her

Always good to see some Queensland glass shattered my boy. Why would anyone pass up on an opportunity for that?
