You seem to think that you have understood something others haven't. But had you bothered to read what posters on this forum is actually saying, then you would know that nobody here considers Ali a "defensive wizard" in terms of a technical defence.

In his prime he was hard to hit on basis of his tremendous speed and reflexes, but as he gradually slowed he became much easier to hit since he didn't have great fundamentals to fall back on (even though I personally would say that he was more fundamentally disciplined in some of his later fights).

I don't think anyone on this board wouldn't agree with this. You often see posters saying that he didn't defend well enough against Frazier's left hook and no one is disagreeing with that. But they can at the same time still recognise that Frazier was very effective in landing that left hook against everyone he met, bar Foreman (who smashed him before he really had an opportunity to).

If you think you're going to educate someone that Ali wasn't a technical master and that there are many more technical fighters, especially in the lower divisions, then you're in the wrong place. That is news to no one here.

I imagine the likes of Lennox Lewis, Joe Louis or Mike Tyson trembling at the thought of if memory serves a shot Chuvalo? who only had a reputation for his chin and nothing else and two small decent HWs.

Something else for you, the HW who smashed Frazier actually did worse then Mac Foster against Ali (An older one) with the same approach. :sisi1 Lucky Mac didn't get a hold of Frazier or Foreman.

Yeah, you did a whole thread on this and was owned in it. Should have taught you something.

If you want to do General style trolling like this, have at it, but you won't be taken seriously by other posters here.

So you’re going to refute LITERAL film because you’ve got nothing? I think you should reconsider “owning” this isn’t a competition, this is a forum there is no winning lol you’re as cookie cutter boring as everyone else in this shameful echo chamber. Why don’t you go along to the thousandth “did he hit hard or really hard thread” and try and “own” someone else.

Again, your trolling MO: Pretend something hasn't been answered before.

For the last two minutes Ali walks Foster down without throwing, except for one brief burst that staggers Foster. During these two minutes Foster lands repeatedly (as one does when the other guy is coming forward but not throwing anything), but mostly to the body and nothing that bothers Ali.

So your big reveal is two minutes of Ali hardly throwing but coming forward and taking body shots but not being bothered, in fact being the one delivering the damaging blows. In what was a nothing fight for him.

A much more focussed prepared Ali took actual hurtful blows in just about every round against Foreman. MacFoster was more of a sparring session in comparison, where he won just about every round. The Foreman fight on the other hand was a gruelling fight for him where he was fully switched on and gave the very best he had. The comparison is laughable.

So, that's you answer once again and all the time I will waste on you.

So how am I wrong? Sloppy, predictable and small Foster lands at will and not just for this round. Bonavena the slug did too, my point isn’t Ali isn’t that great of a boxer in the purest terms which you agree with.

Ali looked out of shape and apathetic vs. Mac Foster and the dude still did nothing to him. If this was Ali (of the Mac Foster fight, in the 2nd round) vs. Tyson Fury, my prediction would change. But it isn't, so it doesn't.

I feel like Ali would be thrown off fighting someone as big, agile and skilled as Fury. He might pull off the upset, but I’d favour Ali in rematches.
