    They battered each other.

Badoo Jack effectively took DeGales prime and teeth away from him. Eubanks said he was coming for the rest of his teeth

Rafael Herrera against Venice Borkorsor - Herrera's facial features were all over the magazine's of the day after their fight, which was how severe they were. I understand it took him a number of months just to recover from that pounding before he could even hit the gym again. He did manage to beat Romeo Anaya, but then he went down a path where he was losing to fighters he had previously beaten until he simply retired. It sounds simplistic, as they were all world class fighters, but something was missing.

Chango Carmona and Ruben Navarro after their respective bouts with Rodolfo Gonzalez for the title - neither had it anymore after respective sustained beatings in their bouts and both quickly retired.

Ray Lampkin after Roberto Duran - unlike the aforementioned bouts, which were sustained poundings, Lampkin fought on even terms with Duran until the 14th round knockdown, which was compounded by Lampkin hitting his head on the canvas. After that his punch resistance was gone, getting dropped by non-puncher Vilomar Fernandez and KO'd by non-puncher Randy Shields

Somsak Sitchatchawal vs. Mahyar Monshipour - Both of them beat each other so bad that their primes were pretty much over after this fight. Sitchatchawal lost by third round TKO in his first defense of the WBA World Super Bantamweight Championship that he took off of Monshipour, while Monshipour only had four more fights before he retired in 2009 after a split decison loss to Anselmo Moreno for the WBA Bantamweight Championship.

Holyfield vs Bowe. Neither fighter was the same after the wars they were in.

Toney vs Jirov and Ried Vs Tito come to mind.

Both Jirov and Reid were Olympic gold medalist and title holders that were wrecked in these two fights. Neither were the same after.

Hagler v Mugabi. There was significant deterioration in both fighters after this war.
