Did this thread really go three pages without mentioning the fearsome George "Orchid Man" Carpentier?

I named my male cat Canelo. He, too, is a feisty ginger. :)

Acorn wasn’t really his nickname, one of those Ali bequeathed an on opponent.

But if we’re going to go with those, then Floyd “Rabbit” Patterson has to join the list.

That really is a laughable nickname. I’m sure he could have done better.

    Willie Meehan - “Fat Boy”.

    Tommy Burns - “Tiny”

    Bob Fitz. - “Ruby”

Primo Carnera - “Ambling Alp” - Big maybe but it sounds unflatteringly s-l-o-w.

    Jeff Merrit. - “Candy Slim”

    Leon Spinks - “Neon”

And finally, UNLESS it’s already been mentioned:-

Georges Carpentier - “Orchid Man”,

The Orchid Man is probably my favorite alias/nickname.
