Who would you say was the most consistently entertaining fighters from the 90s that was almost always in fun, exciting fights? Whether it be one sided or brutal wars, who was the very definition of a crowd pleaser in the ring back in the 90s? First guy to come to mind would be Kevin Kelley. He's been involved in so many wars and dramatic fights.
Seeing all the fighters listed really makes me miss the 90s, being a Millennial myself. I was really young when those guy were fighting at that time but the 90s really was a great era for boxing.
If you're gonna talk about straight up heart, my vote is evander Holyfield, Fernando vargas and Arturo Gatti. I'm keeping the list short, because there are many more that could make it, but imo this are the big 3. Known to take Wallops of physical damage to the body and the head. Evander the real deal Holyfield, ferocious Fernando vargas and Arturo (the human hilight reel) thunder Gatti.
Then you got the infamous: Oscar de la Hoya and sugar Shane Mosley. They have what is equal to nowadays bestest fighter resumes like Shawn porter, Gabe Rosado, clenelo Alvarez PLUS ten more extra years fighting all the top challengers. I believe Canelo is a throwback to guys like these (Oscar and sugar).
Razor Ruddock and Tommy Morrison were also fun to watch. As was Mercer. Heck, I loved watching Holmes and Foreman as well!
There's 1 fighter I always try to mention who got overlooked them his career cut short. He was the embodiment of an exciting fighter Zack Padilla. Compu box has never recovered from his fights.
