Takam and Hammer aren't exactly complex offensive puzzles. Joe just didn't feel any threat from them and went out there to entertain.

As a bettor or a booster of Joe Parker, I would have very little confidence in him winning this inside the distance. But the hour is almost upon us, so we'll know soon.

he might look that way now, but he takes twice the shots to the head that normal fighters do, and each blow chips away at the brains armor. when it finally breaks, theres gonna be brains all over the mat.

Think Joyce wins just by being Joyce.

    It's easy enough to see.

If you look at the Holmes era, it was Gerry Cooney as his big fight. You know it's bad when that happens.

Tyson era was just Tyson. He never faced an elite fighter in Tyson's prime (pre-prison).

That brings us to the early to mid 1990s. This was an excellent era, especially at the Tier II level, with fights like Morrison/Mercer and others that are memorable. Holyfield was the mainstay. Bowe was elite but had a very short prime. Foreman was hanging around but not generally fun to watch. Golota came up short/melted down. And then the 90s Tyson who was a top 5 HW but had vulnerabilities by this time. It was a strong era with great star power but there weren't enough elites in their primes.

I would put the Lewis/Vitali era in a different category, lasting from around 1997 to 2004. Not a great time. The Wladimir era lasted for a long time and was pretty dire.

The modern era for me began in 2015, when Fury defeated Wladimir and Wilder won the WBC strap. And Joshua won his title in 2016. It hasn't been perfect because Wilder and Joshua didn't fight when they needed to, but there have been some very memorable bouts along with a robust set of top 10 fighters during that span, with Usyk joining the elite. But you have Parker, Joyce, Whyte, Povetkin, Ortiz, Ruiz and others all headlining big cards.

The Brit color commentator uses the word "variation" more than anyone ever in the history of mankind.

Joe Joyce has just managed to get to the edge of his bed after waking up at 9am this morning. Fight will probably be delayed.
