Who else thinks Lennox Lewis sucks as an HBO Commentator ?

    Is it just me or does this guy really suck at the mic, i just hate listening to guy talk during fights, he dosent add anything to HBO.

    Lampely -Lennox as you and I can see the fighter is taking a lot of punishment, what do you think his going truw right now

    Lennox -yes, yes, he is taking alot of punishment, i think right now his hurt... his taking alot of punishment

    You can't take it away from him as fighter, but wow HBO seriously needs to replace him.


    On the other hand "Roy Jones JR" was the perfect commentator... looked as if sometimes he knew more about what was going on in the figh than the actuall boxers themselfs

    Lennox has awkward monents at the mike, but has many more insightful ones.

    Yes and no. George was so off-base sometimes it was foolish (hopkins-trinidad being the most eggregious example), and too stubborn to listen to a contrary opinion.

    I liked George, he was good.

    Lennox isn't made for broadcasting, but he's better now then when he first started.

    If Lewis wasn't a former heavyweight champion of the world and judged solely on his commentating ability he'd be fired midway through his first fight. He's horrible. He's not articulate. He struggles when he tries to converse with his other commentators. He has his moments but when he tries to put his thoughts across he stumbles more often than a drunk on cruise ship in the middle of a raging storm at a sea.

    He's there for one reason: because he is the former heavyweight champion of the world.

    I think he has gotten better. I like his commentary during Heavyweight fights especially.

    C'mon dude nobody is questioning Lennox as a fighter, this thread is just questioning his commentating skills that's all.

    His personality as Champion was dull.He is merely being exposed on tv as being even duller.Hope he has a wife that loves him.:?
