Same here. I had to run a few errands, came back and picked up where i left off. Same sound issues through the whole broadcast, so damn annoying. It had to be intentional, because it came back on every time the fights started.

Big Joe is extremely exciting and he's also the most fascinating case study in all of combat sports.

Like Loma, he's completely revolutionized the game and brought something new, fresh and vibrant to it we've hitherto not seen before

    He's a complete paradox

He's a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma

    He's slow/fast/athletic/unathletic/stiff/agile/clumsy/graceful

When have we ever seen someone of his gargantuan dimensions with an engine and work rate like that who is simultaneously as athletic and unathletic as he is?

No, that's true. But Parker tonight and in his last Chisora fight has been some of the best I've seen of him since he lost his belt.

How has he not improved?. He's actually had the dog in him which we all shout about in a fighter ( AJ got deep shlt for lack of this)

To the point that I think he's a hard nights work for anyone. And that's including Joe Joyce tonight.

    He's an improved fighter .

Yes. When the fight was made I thought David Haye the manager of JJ then had totally lost the plot. I am going to let you into a secret I have feared for a long time that Joyce could beat AJ. Yes AJ was the more decorated amateur etc but beating Joyce will require careful strategy. The pace and tempo he fights at is a problem for most heavyweights and his boxing ability is underrated by people who are shocked until the get in with him. Fury would not relish it all.

It was a big problem for them in the amateurs over 3 rounds let alone 12. J-Park is one of the toughest and most durable fighters in the division and many other fighters would've succumbed much sooner

If you can't knock Big Joe out you have to be a master boxer with a great engine and very good chin because that relentless pressure, work rate, toughness and power of his is an absolute nightmare to deal with it and it will drown you. And knocking him out or outboxing him are not easily achieved.

This is why I was surprised that the fight still got made after Parker signed with BOXXER/Sky. Promotions aren't in the business of signing name guys just to let them immediately fight on rival PPVs in matchups that have the distinct potential to ruin them. Was nobody at BOXXER astute enough to know about Joe Joyce? Parker's toughness only enabled him to take a horrible beating in there.

I mean, I'm glad BOXXER supported Joyce-Parker, because it was a fight Joyce needed to gain deserved notice, but their decision to do so didn't/doesn't really make any sense unless we interpret it as a gesture to grease the skids for frequent cooperation between them and BT/Warren in future.

Yes which is why I say beating him requires careful strategy, planning and execution.

Unless (as I added) we interpret it as a gesture to grease the skids for frequent cooperation between BOXXER/Sky and Warren/BT in future.

Shalom did seem cluelessly cocky at the last presser, though, snickering away with Kiwi Joe like they were picking on the simple kid.

Who'd you pick CST? He's hittable and Wilder has another level of power.

I'd pick Joyce but I wouldn't be confident.

Same... if anyone can crack that slab of concrete Joyce has as a chin, it's Wilder. But I'd also expect Joyce to play it safe like he did with Dubois. Tonight he felt Parker's power didn't fear it much and went for it. So eother outcome wouldn't shock me, but I think those beatings from Fury will catch up to Wilder against a brick shithouse like Joyce.
