So, you should have some respect for Parker's effort to take the fight deep despite getting beaten up. He took more than enough punishment for one fight.
I reckon from round six onwards he was gassed enough many other fighters in his shoes would have looked for a way out. I just rewatched the fight and the 1st minute of round 11 was brutal, much more so than I recalled from watching it live. Parker's got stones, that's for sure...
Can't speak for anyone else, but I certainly do. Kiwi Joe's troubles started early, and he made it 11. But I didn't doubt that he'd be tough as old boots and courageous against a vicious shellacking. If he'd lacked an intangible in his career, it wasn't heart, but rather the kind of murderous instinct he was being walked down by last night.

To be fair... Damage is much less visible on black skin. It's why many black fighters don't look like they've been in fights after the final bell. I won't say darker because many Mexican fighters bruise easily as well. And then you have white guys whose faces get reddened from a jab looking like they've taken massive punishment.
You want me to applaud a guy for getting hammered in the face? Boxing fans are weird. He’d have been smarter to give up after a few rounds. He has a family and a “business” to run. I’d have more respect for him if he thought of them before taking a hiding which only really impresses boxing nerds on the internet and boxing commentators.
