Roid Jones Jr. beats nobody serious at HW. Ruiz couldn't punch, couldn't box, and the ref didn't let him clinch or maul on the inside. Tailor made for Roid Jones Jr. practically anyone else shatters his glass jaw into a billion pieces.
Come on, stop it. RJJ was a great fighter, one of my favorites but they have weight classes for a reason. I’m sure the same guys who picked RJJ in this one would favor Floyd in a matchup with Joyce. I know RJJ technically had a HW strap at one time but Ruiz was a bum. Joyce would crush Ruiz, much bigger and a tougher fighter.
One heavy jab from Joyce buckles Roys legs. Huggy Bear is a far cry from The Juggernaut, Roy would never have even entertained getting in the ring with someone like Joyce. Ruiz was beatable, based on being a smaller heavyweight and the styles matching in Roys favour. Roy might be able to look decent for a few rounds but he's getting cut off into that corner and wrecked eventually
