1 Joyce, damn close 2 Joyce 3 Joyce 4 Parker 5 Joyce 6 Joyce 7 Joyce 8 Joyce 9 Joyce 10 Joyce, damn close 11 Joyce wins by KO
I look forward to scoring this fight when I eventually get to see it. BT sport/Queensbury must be the only group without a broadcaster in Japan, and little in the way of highlights. Queensbury even uploaded the KO video to youtube minus the KO. lol
R1 - Parker R2 - Parker - close R3 - Joyce - R4 - Parker R5 - Joyce R6 - Joyce R7 - Joyce R8 - Joyce R9 - Joyce - close R10 - Joyce R11 - Joyce wins by KO I had it even after 6 rounds but from rd 5 it was all Joyce apart from a lust hurrah in rd 9 when Parker dug deep and almost did enough to take the rd. I think rd 9 was Parker emptying out what reserves he had to try and turn the fight but it wasn't enough.
I knew Big Joe was going to win within 20 seconds absolute max of round 1 and I was too busy studying his slow-fast speed and enjoying the action to score it round by round. I thought Big Joe was well ahead though.
Found the fight. Just watched it: Joyce - Parker 1. 9-10 2. 10-9 (close) 3. 9-10 (close) 4. 9-10 5. 10-9 6. 10-9 7. 10-9 (Parker looking very tired) 8. 10-9 9. 9-10 10. 9-10 (close) Parker sporadic but landing the much cleaner work. Joyce constantly throwing, but not landing clean, happy to thump elbows, shoulders, forearms, hips, anything really, just grinding Parker down.11. Good KO, Parker falls down heavy, very slow getting up, too exhausted to beat the count. 95-95, but the score didn't really reflect who was winning that fight. The finish put a line under it. Good KO win for Joyce. Perfect game plan from him, just constantly grinding Parker down until the finish. Parker was perhaps too heavy and wasting energy trying for the KO; known for liking his mid-round breaks, but his footspeed was gone very early in this fight. Constantly in Joyce's punching range, constantly having to defend and try to slip punches, when he wasn't doing that he was being overpowered and wrestled in the clinch, having to carrying Joyce's weight. Good effort, but the better man won.
