If you want a tickover gimmie don’t tease the thought of the AJ fight. No issues staying active etc but just the carry on has been frustrating.

Pathetic from Fury IMO. Fans are the ones who lose out.

Charr fight will tank as well.

AJ is a tickover too, tbh.
a big payday & a legitimate good opponent
but in sporting terms just a tune up for Usyk.
a guy coming off two losses
not really deserving of a shot
& I wouldn't give Fury much credit for beating AJ really

obviously 100 times better than Charr, but still. guy has not won a fight in 2 years. & that was against an old second rater.
Lost 3 of his last 5.
we all would love to see the fight. it will do box office magic.
but AJ's credibility as a challenger is a bit shaky too, in pure sports terms, money aside, if we're honest.

Yeah he's just made the Charr fight even less appealing than it would have been.

Honestly I don't think this fight was ever happening. Be interesting to see if anything did come out of the Dazn/BT meeting but let's be realistic, no way are Dazn ready to cash out on Joshua.

    Why?

Because he could fight someone of real value like Ruiz who is basically WBC mandatory now and give us a decent fight.

    Charr is below Chisora quality.

Who the **** would pay to watch Fury slap around the likes of Charr? Disgraceful match up.

    Waste of ****ing time.

If AJ and Usyk cannot happen, here's a list of better opponents -

    Ruiz (Would be my pick)
    Joyce
    Zhang
    Sanchez

AJ is in the top 3/4 of the division however you want to order it. And he is a resume boosting win. Add to the fact he is a commercial juggernaut. Usyk aside it’s the best possible fight.

As per usual in boxing it’s the fans that lose out. What’s crazy for me is how fans try and rationalise it and defend Fury. I like Fury but I want to see him fight AJ not some bum. And if he wants to fight a Charr and stay busy I won’t be interested or buy it but I see the value in activity and as long as he’s honest about what it is, then it is what it is.

All the media posturing in boxing shows why the sport is dying.

The best don’t have to fight the best. They can fight anyone and still make big bucks

"Tune ups" should not exist. You are the heavyweight champion of the world. If you say your the best and are the champ, part of that is defending the title against the best. If you are the best letting yourself get "out of tune" then you are no champion. The champ is in tune and ready to fight at his best against all challengers. If the number 1 wont fight you, you move down the list to the best available opponent.

There are no "tune ups". What they are are easy paydays because the champs doesn't feel like living and acting like a true champ.
You wanna fight bums and still be regarded as the best...nah son. You wanna be regarded as the best, then act like the best.

yeah it's a good fight . I want to see it.
    AJ is good.

I'm just stating facts. he wouldn't be a historical strong challenger, at this point, with his recent form. there's no way round it.

no one can justify or rationalise Charr.

Tune ups fine if you fight 4-5 times a year and the tune ups aren’t on PPV. When you fight twice a year on PPV it should be against the best

every boxer needs to stay tuned up. preferably by facing the best, yes.

    Fury offered to fight Usyk
    but Usyk isn't ready.
but Usyk also says he will be ready later.
so Fury's looking for a tune up for Usyk.
so who is next best after Usyk?
a lot of people reckon AJ. so Fury offered to face AJ. as a tune up for Usyk
    that's correct.

jumping down to Charr is just insane if it happens. I hope not. hopefully just a threat by Fury to put pressure on AJ to sign.

    Whyte was a bum too.
but somehow promoters had made him into something & got him some crazy mandatory challenger and silver belt interim whatever status.
a lot of fans rated Whyte top 4 or 5 but he won't go down in history as a good highiy credible challenger.
    just another bum.
but Fury had to fight him.

    boxing is corrupt like that.

Charr really? the guy was shot in the stomach 4 times in 2015 and had double hip replacement surgery in 2017
Can't he search the old folks home for a better fight?

    He's bipolar

Frank is lucky to have insurance in Joyce.

Eddie Hearn has suddenly got nothing.
